Dr. Dan Ruitenbeek
Dr. Dan grew up in London, Ontario Canada. He is on a mission to make sure that the community thrives in life, rather than suffers. After an ice hockey injury of multiple lumbar vertebral disk protrusions rendered him unable to walk or sit without pain, let alone play any kind of sports, Dr. Dan was referred to his hometown chiropractor. The chiropractor was the first doctor to actually assess the underlying weaknesses that led to the injury and provide long lasting results. Fascinated by this approach to wellness, he had the opportunity to shadow multiple chiropractors and learned that the body is capable to heal itself and was designed to handle any and all situations under the right conditions. He then decided to become a chiropractor himself. He received his bachelors degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario then headed to Marietta to attend Life University for Chiropractic school.
While Dr. Dan was an in his doctoral program at Life University , he held many leadership roles on campus. He was a board member of a chiropractic skill based organization that focused on very gentle and very effective treatments that utilized objective data to analyze and correct nervous system dysfunction caused by stress. This organization was focused on teaching and improving chiropractic skills of fellow students in the chiropractic technique called Torque Release Technique. He was also involved in a work-study teaching extremity issue analysis and correction, providing optimal movement and functioning of the shoulders, wrists, knees, feet, and other joints in the body aside from the spine.
He has extensive training and experience in pregnancy, pediatrics, athletics, and overall wellness promotion. He has seen results with chiropractic varying from multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, migraines, sinusitis, arthritis, acute pain, and many more. He has also had the opportunity to watch many children benefit from chiropractic care with health issues like autism, ADHD, colic, bed wetting, and ear infections.
Dr. Dan loves spending his time in athletics, and spending as much time as possible with his wife Ally. He is very excited to be serving the East Cobb, Sandy Springs and Roswell areas with truly customized, objective and specific chiropractic care, safe and effective for the whole family
